Detailed Summary[]
Yoshitake and Motoharu are taking a route through some fields. Motoharu says he needs to ask Yoshitake something, then asks him what ‘Twitter’ meant. Yoshitake narrows his eyes at him, then says that many celebrities have been talking about Twitter on the internet after having eaten it. Motoharu is surprised that it’s a food item. Yoshitake adds that it’s a wheat flour-based pasta that is very difficult to make, which made it a hard-to-obtain delicacy.

Motoharu then asks him meaningly what “KY” is. Averting his eyes, Yoshitake tells him it’s short for ‘Environment Protection Convention’ (環境用語規格 Kankyō Yōgo kikaku), an international standard by which corporations can voluntarily adopt greener practices. He also says KY labels are found on product covers. Motoharu digests this and asks him what ‘tsundere’ means. Yoshitake immediately says it’s an abnormal, aggressive type of relationship that often resulted in murder, and is a major subject in American criminal psychology, with the motive for the crime usually being revenge.

The next question is about ‘doyagao’. Yoshitake responds that it means ‘face resembling a pair of sandals’ in Hokkaido lingo. Motoharu then asks about ‘agepoyo’. Yoshitake answers that it’s the name of a manga series originally serialised in 1981, which was rediscovered and hence receiving a second spike in popularity.
Motoharu follows up by asking him what ‘MMORPG’ meant. Yoshitake says it refers to a sort of game played by many people online. They continue walking in silence. Motoharu thinks to himself that Yoshitake finally got one right.
